Fair point.

So apart from Covent Garden, does anyone know of a nice place? There are so many, we must be able to come up with some kind of alternative. Let's face it, we don't need to be playing chess here, drinking is just as much fun, if not more so! 😵

We could all sign up to a cheesy, online chess web site, and chat in the forums.

Wow, i can't believe how long this thread has gotten with out us reaching any sort of consensus 😳

I would suggest somewhere by the river perhaps. The Old ship in Hammersmith is nice, along with numerous others around there, but it's not so central. One thing i do know, is we have now stumbled across a problem with a centrally located location, that being that a lot of places are closed on weekends. A friend of mine's brother set up the Itchy magazines (guides for restuarants/bars etc.) I will phone my friend tomorrow and get his brother's number and have a chat. Maybe he will be able to suggest something. He lives in London and is a bit of a party animal so maybe he'll know somewhere we could go.
